Oil spill- Bp caps the oil leak

       It was a good news soon we found out that Bp was able to stop the oil gushing out the the Golf of Mexico, It took almost 3 months to do it but finally Bp got it right, and this is a good news for the presidential office of president Barack Obama. Mr president has been criticized of not putting enough pressure on bp as a result many people questioned his leadership as the head of state. With a nation of many opinions it will be hard for anyone to deal with a situation like this, even a minor home plumbing takes days to deal with but, here bp had a situation  of a plumbing gone wrong in a deep Golf of Mexico where the oil drilling was taking place. The implanted pipe and well that was suppose to contain the oil being drilled from beneath the golf busted and it cost the major oil leakage that we have ever seen in a long time. As a result it disrupted many businesses, that has its business source from the Golf of Mexico. Many livestock were affected as well, soon we learned that the new cap placed my bp stopped the leak, it was a great relief to every one, at least we know our shore and beaches are safe from crude poisoning.  Bp announced that the newly placed cap will undergo some pressure test later in the night to ensure that it will work for quite a while, at least the cap was expected to hold the oil pressure till sometimes late  august while a relief well is been drilled to collect all the oil. We expect the news to help bp stock price to raise.

BP damage Claim

Bp has set aside 20 billion dollars to settle any claims due to damages caused by the oil leak, with millions of business that are affected, many fisher men, lobster fishing farmers, cruise boats etc, many of these businesses are loosing thousands of money daily when they are not operating, they have equipment rent expenses, they are purchased goods are rendered useless, no income to pay employees, loss of jobs etc. Will the  20 billion compensation funds be enough to cover all damage expenses? last report about the business affected on cnbc news station has reported that many of these businesses that filled claims are not satisfied as Bp was unable to grant them enough funds to cover the debt they have acquired.

World Cup Final

Today July 11 2010 is the last day of the Fifa world cup match in south Africa. 32 teams started the competition only two teams left to meet today for the chance to be the world cup champion. The world cup competition is a soccer competition that takes place every 4 years, this year's event is very memorable and historic, it is the first time that an African country is hosting the world cup main event, many thought Africa will not be able to do it because they are under developed in terms of economic situation. The success of the hosting by South African has shown that Africa does deserve the chance to host the world cup, they have performed well in the organization of the event, the security forces are very great at the event, the stadiums looked very great you will not believe that Africa is one of the poorest continent in the world. Today's final match is between Netherlands and Spain, both countries  are new comers to the final world cup, and it will be the first time for either to win the world cup.
      The famous octopus prediction that has rocked the event is been the news sensation lately, the octopus predicted 100% so far on who will win the matches, today's prediction of the  Paul the octopus was that Spain will win over Holland. Again we will wait to see if Paul the octopus will be correct again.

It all unfold today as the whole NBA and basketball fans waited to see where lebron will go. Today on ESPN live broadcast King Lebron James named the team he will play with. Lebron James came in to the NBA and he signed five year deal which will allow him to be a free agent in the summer 2010. Many teams have tried to recruit Lebron James, James is the best player in the NBA currently when he was in High school he did a lot of great thing and he will like to continue to do that. Like James said during the interview that one thing you cant control one's destiny and he always like to complete and has no doubt. And lebron James picked Miami heats. Lebron James picked Maimi Heats.

Stock Rally today

The stock market saw a lot of green today, with the NASDAQ and the Dow Jones seeing a lot of greens, it seem that the investors are now trusting the market, a the growth in the market today showed that investors are not doing a lot of selling. We have some strong market movers today the food industries, metal and electric companies, the financial firms and the airliners all gained points today.
Since the Dow is having its best days in weeks with over 2.8 percent higher today, should the market be worried because as we all are familiar with the market do fluctuate up and down. We hope the market is very much guided so that we may continue to see more green.

Spain 1 vs Germany 0

      The German machine played like an amateur today, they are a goals scoring team and are know to humiliating their opponents with lots of goals, at least that is the type of bully they are at the South Africa World cup 2010. After they overcame the Argentina national team, many soccer fans thought it will be a easy win again Spain.
      Soon the semi final soccer game kicked off at 1: 30 Eastern time today, it was sure who the winning side may be, as the Spain possessed the ball in most of the game, they made the German machine look like they are an inexperienced team, if not that Spain missed a lot of chances to score, the game would have been a blown out but as we all expected, the best side came up with the win, puyol scored for Spain at the 73 minutes and Spain took the win and they will face Netherlands in the World Cup finals On Sunday.

Soccer and Government

If soccer has it's own governing body then why should the president of any country interfere?  this was the case with the Nigeria national soccer team. The president of Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan suspended the Nigeria soccer team from participating in any international matches for two years because they failed to advance in the fifa world cup competition in South Africa. If you see this as a dictatorship governing, you are right, Only in Nigeria will such ridiculous thing has been happening, where any person in the positing of authority is just so hungry to give orders with little chance to understand what exactly is going on. Since the FIFA intervened the president has reversed his other to lift the ban, Imagine if fifa kept quite? how long will we watch some nations continue to do things in the wrong way by suppressing those that has no power with their power ? 

BP Rally despite Oil leak problem

BP added to rally today despite all the oil leak problem, the market show BP saw some green today. A lot of people has thought of BP to be close to filling bankruptcy, as the country awaits and expect the oil company to be paying out a lot of funds  in lawsuits and claims. It seem it hasn't affected the company that much, is it that they have some funds in other company that they are using to cover up for the loses? We all don't know, but we know that BP has one of the smartest CEO in the world and we are sure that he is not going to just watch the  company go down under his care, so we will guess that BP has money somewhere in crude oil company or other well publicly traded company that will be making BP money for now.
