The Apple iPad VS The Amazon Kindle

The Apple iPad VS The Amazon Kindle

By Paul HoIf you already have the Kindle DX, I know that many of you would be asking what is the difference between the two, the Kindle DX and the Apple iPad? This comparison just came out when I was considering getting a Kindle eBook reader which coincidentally was the exact time the Apple iPad hit the markets.
At first glance, I thought that the iPad was only an eBook reader because it does look like one. And when I learned the selling price of iPad that starts from $499, I began to wonder why it is that expensive for an eBook reader. Then, I began to make comparison on what to get. I would like to consider Kindle DX for the price of $489 or any eBook reader for the matter. The problem with Kindle DX is that it is too small for me.
The Kindle DX and the Apple iPad both have a 9.7" screen. The iPad screen has a full-colored touch screen so that you could be able to watch high-definition videos while the DX is not. The Kindle DX utilizes an ink technology that will make it looks like a true paper and it is not straining for your eyes.
At one look, it seems that there is no comparison between the DX and the new Apple iPad. The Apple product could be used for different activities like for reading eBooks, e-magazines and newspaper, all in full color. You could also browse the web, listen to music, watch videos and films and have access to all of the applications on the Apple Store. The DX appears to be just a plain eBook reader. The iPad is versatile because of the different applications you could experience while the DX is only the normal eBook reader.
If you want to have a e-book reader that could answer all of your needs, there is no doubt that the Apple iPad Computer Tablet will be an excellent choice. But if you are a book lover and would like a gadget that is designed specifically for reading materials, the Amazon Kindle DX would best suit your taste. Even if I do not have the iPad yet, but I think that the Kindle DX will provide the comfort of reading a book for longer period of time because of the materials of the screen. It is handier and has a long batter life of about two weeks on one charge.
Whether it is an iPad or DX, be sure to know all the details before buying it. Be sure that it is worth the price and do not cause you any trouble. Choose the one that you think will fit your taste and needs. Overall, you will be the one who will use it, so be careful in deciding. Avoid having regrets when you already bought one of those two. Both of them have good qualities to keep you entertained and informed, so it's up to you.

How to Free Your Dreams

By J. Roux MalanIntroduction
How many times in your life did you have a dream that never turned into a reality? Perhaps you had the dream to own your own business online or to be your own boss. Perhaps you had the dream of going overseas, but you never had enough money.
Why is it that many of our dreams do not come true? In my mind there are two major reasons for this situation. The first reason might be that we skipped some vital steps in what I call the creative cycle. The second reason might be that we did not have the patience for the creative cycle to bear its fruit. So what do I mean by the creative cycle? We see the creative cycle at work in the seasons of nature: spring, summer, late summer, autumn and winter. Each and every creative process on earth have to go through these five phases of creation to bear fruit. Let us now look at each of these five phases in order for us to turn our dreams into reality.
Step 1: Create a vision!
Every new creative cycle in our lives start from a certain "nothingness" or "winter". This is the time where millions of sperms (read ideas) are swimming upstream to meet the ovum in the darkness of the womb. This first step is driven by our deepest yearning to create something new. The great trick in step one is to find our greatest yearning. You need to ask yourself two important questions. Firstly, "What exactly do I want to create in my life?" and secondly "Why do I want to create that in my life?" You need to be very clear about the "what?" and the "why?" of your vision.
Many of our dreams does not come true because either we were not clear on what we want to create or we did not have a real desire to create it in the first place. You really have to dig deep on this first step. What do I want to create? Why do I want to create it? Ultimately you need to find your own passion. Without a passion to create you will never realize your dreams.
How do you know that you have a passion to create something? You must become aware of the levels of energy that you FEEL in your body when you think about something that you want to create. If you feel a surge of energy when you think about a specific dream you want to create you can be pretty sure that you are onto your passion. On the other hand if you think about an idea to create something and your FEEL a drain of energy it is a sure sign that you are looking down the wrong alley. Your passion will give you effortless energy. If you have to make yourself do something that something is definitely not your passion. Stop dead in your tracks and ask yourself: "What is it that I really want to create and why?" Then monitor your FEELINGS and keep at it till your feel an effortless surge of energy to create that dream.
Use a pen and paper to explore your passion. Use pictures cut from magazines. Create a collage. You need to put your vision into words and pictures. For example: I want to create my own business from home. Secondly, write down the why. For example: Because I want to make enough money to travel the world. Then ask the why question again: Why do I want to make enough money to travel the world? Why? Because I want to see the world! Why? Because I want to broaden my mind? Why? Because I want to grow in my vision of myself and the world! Why? Because I want to make a difference in the world! Why? Because I want to bring peace and understanding in the world? Why? Because I want to leave a legacy of peace to the children of the world! Keep asking why until you get to the very bottom of your own motivation. Tap into your deepest urge to create. It is that energy and only that energy that will ultimately give you the drive to stay with your dreams until they turn into a reality.
If you fail to find your deepest creative urge you will run the risk of quitting before you realize your dream. Take the time and ask yourself: "What do you want to create?" and "Why do you want to create it?". If you found the answer to these to questions then you are at the point of conception. The magical moment when out of trillions of sperms that one and only one sperm meets the ovum. Celebrate the moment in writing and in pictures. Make a large collage about the dream you want to create. Then go on to the next phase.
Step 2: Create a plan to fulfill your vision!
The next part in the creative cycle is the time when your vision starts to grow. It gets a brain, organs, hands and feet. We can compare this stage with the growth of the fetus in the womb. We can't "see" the result of our dream in the physical world yet, but we can "feel" it becoming more lively by the day. This is the part were we start to plan for our vision. Our vision might be to own a business. It might be to shed a few pounds. It might be to go on a once in a lifetime vacation. Whatever it is the big question in this part of the creative cycle is: "How?" The important question is: "How am I going to turn my vision into a reality?" It is the planning and research stage of the creative cycle. After the "what?" and "why?" of the first phase we need to ask "how?" in the second phase of the creative cycle. And when we have answered the "how?" question we need to flesh out your plans even further by asking "when?". Again you need to write down your intentions. I am going to start my own business on the internet (vision) by promoting affiliate programs on the internet (how) within the next two years (when).
Your vision is taking shape. It becomes a plan. But it is still a bit vague therefore we need to bring it more and more into a sharper focus. I am going to earn $1000 a month from my own internet business (concrete vision) by promoting five of the best affiliate programs on the internet with a blog (how) two years from today (when).
It is kind of like in the movies. First the camera shows you the big picture. The idyllic scene in the middle of the Amazon with beautiful green trees and a breathtaking waterfall. Then the camera begins to zoom in and you start to see a couple in the distance. You can't see what they are doing at first, but as the camera draw nearer you see that they are kissing each other. You see that the girl is blond and that she wears a blue dress. The camera zooms in even more and you see a little drop of blood on her cheek and so on and so on. You get the picture. As you become more and more detailed in your plans you move nearer and nearer to the present time where you go over into the next phase of the creative cycle. Always remember that your point of power is in the present moment. The next cycle is all about our present moment.
Step 3: Back up your plan with massive action!
You can dream as much as you like, but if you do not take action NOTHING is going to materialize. I know that is obvious, but secretly all of us wish we could skip this phase of the creative cycle. We wish we could snap our fingers and our bank account will bulge with bars of gold. It is on this wishful thinking that all the money scams in the world are built. If you still live in this dream world I want to wake you up. Remember your dreams can only become reality if you back it up with MASSIVE action. The more dreamlike your dreams still are the MORE action you need to take to get them going. This is the birthing phase of the creative cycle. Need I tell you that birth is a painful and laborious process.
This is the most dangerous part of the creative cycle. It is the part in the creative cycle where your dreams can die a still death, because you are not prepared to do the laborious act of pushing. Did you ever try to push a car all by yourself? Do you remember the great effort and willpower it took to get that vehicle moving? Once it was moving it became a breeze. Remember with each and every dream you want to realize there will always be the difficult and painful part where only sheer determination and willpower will get you through to the next phase. It is often in this birthing phase of the creative cycle that people quit. I know from experience. I once set up my own portfolio of shares, but after two year sthe growth was minimal. I decided to quit and I sold all my shares. A month later the share market started to rise phenomenally and I missed out on it because I did not believe in my own ability to pick out winning shares. I gave up during the laborious and painful birthing process.
Very often we sabotage ourselves on the road to success, because it is at this phase of the creative cycle that our deepest fears rise to the surface of our consciousness. You will have to confront your fears if you want to be successful. Napoleon Hill talks about our six basic fears and he names them in the order of their most common appearance: The fear of poverty, of criticism, of ill-health, of loss of love, of old age, and of death. He states that our fears are nothing but states of our mind and I agree. If we do not realize our dreams because of our fears it is our thoughts that brought us to defeat. Therefore you need to take control of your thoughts if you want to defeat your fears. How? Listen what Hill says: "Mind control is the result of self-discipline and habit". How do you control your mind? Stay focused on what you want and not on what you don't want. If you are riding a car and you see a tree in front of you and you fix your eyes on that obstacle where are you going to land? Obviously you are going to wrap your car around that tree. Keep your focus on your goals and take massive action.
Step 4: Build on your successes and learn from your failures!
This is the phase in the creative cycle where you have the baby in your arms. All the laborious work of creating a vision and a plan and taking massive action is beginning to pay off. You see the first fruits of your labor, but it still needs a lot of your attention. It needs proper feeding and caring. Your success is in its infancy stage and you sometimes wonder if it ever will grow up. In order for you to keep going you need to celebrate the slightest success that you experience on the road to realizing your dreams. This is the moment when you need to name the baby. Each baby is different and you need to get to know your baby and build a relationship with it. You will only be able to do that through experimentation. If you want to succeed you need to experiment and build on your successes and learn from your failures. In order for you to experiment you need to overcome your fear of failure.
Remember that your failures are your teachers. See all your wrong decisions and your failures as part of the learning curve. Failure often becomes a blessing in disguise. Failures often are doors to new opportunities. In the creative cycle failure is represented by winter. Winter in the time of the year just before spring. If you can rest in the winter of your failure according to the creative cycle it become the breeding ground of a new spring and an invincible summer. Keep on trying until your see growth. When you see growth continue with the actions that brought that growth and discontinue those who inhibits the growth of your brain child. Celebrate your successes and learn from your failures.
Step 5: Announce your success to the world!
If you believe it or not there are numerous people who would like to celebrate your success with you. All of us are drawn towards the energy that successful people project except if we are jealous of their success. You will find both kinds of people on your road to success. Remember when Jesus was born? King Herod wanted to kill him while the wise man from the East came to worship him. The baby of success that you brought into the world will have the same effect on the people around you. Remember there are more people who would like to celebrate the birth with you than those of ill will. So be proud of your success and announce it to the world because that is the way in which you will find people who would like to be your partners and assist your growth to its full potential. You need to communicate your success to the world in order for it to grow. As you grow your realization to its full potential you will need to go through the creative cycle numerous times. You will need to readjust your vision, create a new plan, back it up with massive action, celebrate your successes, learn from your mistakes and announce your realization to the world. The creative cycle is life itself. It will never stop. We are in a constant cycle of growth and renewal. We might as well enjoy the journey. Dear to dream and be prepared to work hard but effortlessly in order to realize your dream.

Employee Vacation? Ha! Have The Boss Go First

By Linda B MooreEmployee vacation is the last thing H.R. departments think about when it comes to a benefit that actually helps the company. Until now. There have been a lot of different ideas as to what the best employee benefits should be in a benefits package. As most of you probably know the Human Resource space has been struggling with this for a long time. Even to the point of offering pet insurance. A lot of companies now offer that as a benefit to the employee. I'm not knocking pets. I have a dog myself, however, how does pet insurance benefit the employee? It doesn't.
What the employee needs is a vacation! They need to have time away from the job and take a real vacation. An employee vacation should consist of the following criteria. First the employee should not take his or her lap top to stay in contact with their company. Second, drop the Blackberry and nobody gets hurt. Third, a employee vacation doesn't mean that Joe or Sally go home and spend their 1 or 2 week vacation to remodel their kitchen! Gong! Buzzer! WRONG! That's not an employee vacation. This is commonly referred to as a "Staycation". A vacation for an employee should consist of getting away, even if for only a few days to decompress totally in a relaxing setting of the employees liking. Now here is the real kicker of getting an employee to take a vacation. A lot of smaller companies have employees that are afraid to take a vacation.
Why? Glad you asked. Because the boss or owner themselves have not been on a vacation. What the owner or boss doesn't understand is that they are setting the tone for the company regarding taking a vacation. So Numero Uno priority is for the boss to go on vacation first! Then once he/she sees for themselves the benefit of taking a vacation they will want the employee vacation plan put into action a.s.a.p. Employers need to get off the soap box of "Use it or Lose it" when it comes to vacation. Employers should be keeping up with the ever growing pile of articles and data that is continually documenting the attitude of employees in the grave economic times. These data that has been collected shows exactly why employees have lost their loyalty to employers. It also shows that employees are willing to go from the "frying pan into the fire" when it comes to leaving their current job. Noted sources of this information are the likes of the Davos Economic Summit 2009, Reuters News, The Wall Street Journal and Business Week just to name the few of the many. And again this is happening even in today's economic times.
Here is one more fact that will blow your bottom line mind of your business. U.S. Workers gave back $21 Billion to their employers by not taking vacation last year. Many in the executive suite still not happy noting that companies lost $150 Billion in 2002 in cost related worker burnout. (Eileen Smith, Courier-Post Staff 8/10/2003)
By now you should realize that if you get the employees on a vacation you'll watch the morale go up. Watch the presenteeism increase and most importantly, watch productivity go up as well.

Many people have tried many ways to make money online. After a while they invariably find out that it is not as easy as they thought it would be because there's actually a lot that one has to learn.
There is, however, a different option available for people wanting to make money from the Internet.
These days people can start their own business with just the knowledge they have now. This is a GREAT opportunity for anyone looking to create a supplemental income or to create a full time business.
Search engine optimization, web design, and Internet marketing overall is what a lot of businesses need these days. There are thousands of businesses out there that want and need online exposure. Similarly, it is also true that the majority of these businesses by far do not have the in-house expertise available to achieve that. This creates opportunities for offline marketing services providers to provide these businesses the opportunity to leverage the Internet to get more customers and clients through their door or on their website.
By now most people may have heard of off-line marketing and offering it to small businesses because there is a lot of buzz around getting into this type of work. The problem comes when these so-called gurus don't tell anybody how to bring in new business.
To start off, setting up your off-line marketing business and getting clients are two different things. A  method has been developed that takes a person by the hand and shows them exactly how to set up their business so that it looks professional, and they're able to command higher prices for their services as a result. On top of that they are shown how to get fresh new leads and clients to their business on autopilot.
It is also believed that creating an offline business is more lucrative than starting an online business because the profits are almost immediate and the paychecks are a lot bigger.
After studying the Offline Cash method and taking action on the information contained therein people will have a thriving business that has the potential to make them upwards of six figures a year! It's easier to follow a well thought out plan, once you have a blueprint to Offline success.
The simple process goes like this!

Credit Repair Leads and Lists

By Aaron M. SmithThe credit repair industry has been under scrutiny for quite a long time. Ever since credit became the main issue when getting a loan, credit repair started creeping into the minds of any American that suffered a charge off or collection on their accounts. Finding accurate and timely credit repair leads is a challenge mainly because finding and gauging consumer motivation is critical. For example, everyone that has under a 700 score needs credit repair of some type. Whether it's removing late pays or paying off or disputing collections and charge-offs, credit repair is an important part of the sub-prime consumers list of dreams. Having great credit these days can make the difference in getting a job or promotion over someone else, it's a score card of how responsible you are as a citizen. Finding the right credit repair leads is essential to closing and ultimately enrolling consumers into your program.
Depending on how and where you conduct your credit repair program, your needs will be different. Some states require a non-profit or no advanced fee model in order to conduct business - check with your state office to fully understand the limitations of your business model. If you can charge a fee for your service up front, make sure you disclose all of the services you are going to do in the future and make sure you leave a good impression. The biggest form of leads is REFERRALS! So referring mortgage brokers, auto dealers, and lawyers that seek to help their clients improve their credit is critical in growing your credit repair leads base.
Incoming leads are the best kind, referrals, call ins, walk ins. their all great. But what are you going to do on those slow days where few customers walk through the door or the referral line is not ringing off the hook? Buying credit repair leads from a third party is full of risk but the reward may be there if you can find the right setup. The best type of credit repair leads are unqualified buyers that do not qualify because of their credit! Finding these partners is critical and paying them for the referral if they send a lot of referrals is well worth it. There are many companies that can send you leads but they will not send you leads unless you can reciprocate so think about what you can do for them as well.
No matter what leads you decide to work with, remember your conversion is all that matters. Unlike other programs most credit programs are fixed cost/profit so you can simply look at the conversion % as opposed to profit. Each lead provider will have a different cost per acquired customer and tracking this is important to your long term lead generation goals. Do not make the mistake of only working with 1 or 2 providers. You should be testing 10-20 providers and working with the top 5 even if the conversions are double between vendor 1 and 5, vendor 5 is still profitable and you don't want to lose that volume. Many leads will vary in quality from week to week and day to day so keeping a diverse lead vendor base is crucial.

Understanding Credit Card Loans

By Prachi MehtaCredit cards are quite similar to a cheque which needs to be paid at a later date. Therefore it has been greatly soothing that companies who allow us to visit and shop from them also allow us the chance of availing loans from them against the card amount being paid. These companies provide many early schemes to their customers with lower interest rates in the beginning. This is usually done to increase their customer base. Also the rate of interest of these card loans usually starts at a low rate which is what a normal borrower expects.
Also with the validity of the loan, people are now able to make use of all their cards. This may give them some sort of flexibility while it is generally argued by most, that it may turn costlier. But most importantly, card loans usually are for managing the debt created and accumulated by your plastic money and have been initiated to pay the very same credit card debts.
Usually our card repayments are not in harmony with when our pay is given. And this is where exactly a credit card loan comes up. It is used in those times and situations when one's pay doesn't cover the credit card bills. But the amount lent under the credit card loaning system depends upon the intensity of the problem of the borrower.
To enlist for this scheme, all you have to do is to deposit your card bills and a loan shall be made ready to pay your bills. Also, repayment is as per the individual's need and therefore can be negotiated.
One of the biggest needs of today is plastic money loans with their low interest rates and easy money repayment!

Choosing a Credit Repair Service - Five Things To Look For

By Robert O'Haver
If your credit score is dismal and you'd like to bring up those numbers with credit repair, you aren't alone. There are millions of people who have suffered financial setbacks, been through a foreclosure, made poor economic decisions, or who simply got in over their heads and are now suffering because of it. A poor credit score can make it difficult or impossible to get a home loan, open a credit card, or purchase a car. If you need to repair your credit, consider working with a company that specializes in credit repair, but be sure you work with a reputable company.
There are various types of credit counseling and repair services available. You should compare several companies and talk to a customer service representative in order to find out how they compare to each other before choosing the service you want to work with. There are several key elements to look for in a good credit repair service:
-reasonable pricing. After all, you're trying to recover from a difficult financial situation; exorbitant fees can lead you into more difficulty. Beware of companies that use a sliding scale depending upon how much debt you owe. This can lead to padded pricing that may put you further into debt. A flat fee per month is your best bet. It should be reasonable and shouldn't fluctuate. This way you can easily include the cost in your monthly budget.
-detailed analysis. Every service that offers to repair credit will ask you to provide your credit score and report for evaluation, but not all of them will explain your report to you. If the company simply says, "we'll handle it from here" without explaining what needs fixed and how they'll do it, avoid them. The best services will provide a detailed evaluation of your credit report so that you understand what's going on and how to move forward.
-customized solutions based on your individual financial situation. Does the company ask relevant questions? Do they take into considerations not only your obligations, but your goals, situation, and aspirations? The more they want to know, the better their service will be.
-counseling after your credit report is repaired. Look for a company that will offer you counseling and financial guidance even after your credit history has been restored. Their goal should be not only to repair your credit, but to help make sure you won't have bad credit in the future.
-legal expertise. To repair credit effectively, a company has to understand a multitude of complex state and federal laws. A credit service staffed by lawyers and legal specialists can represent you more efficiently because they have an intimate understanding of the legal issues and can use them to your advantage.
Choosing the right credit repair service can mean the difference between raising your credit score by a few points or a few hundred points. With the right repair service in your corner, you'll soon be back on solid financial ground with a strong credit score.
Robert O'Haver is a writer for KEL Credit Repair. Understanding your credit report is the first step toward credit repair. KEL Credit Repair can quickly repair credit for those with poor credit scores.

How Can You Recover From Bad Credit?

With the state of today's economy there are many people who have less than perfect credit. This is a problem that affects millions of Americans today. The good news is that there is a fix for credit that is less than perfect. It can be restored by making use of buy here, pay here and rent to own companies for automobiles and home furnishing.
The identifying Factors of a person with bad credit is a bad credit score. A bad score is considered to be credit score of 400 points or less. Credit scores are affected drastically by missed payments as well as defaulted accounts. There are other factors as well that can make a credit score plummet but these are the biggest factors.
Having a bad credit score can cause a person all sorts of issues. Less than perfect credit can mean being denied the opportunity to finance a home, automobile or expensive purchase. Many companies are not willing to take a chance on someone who doesn't have good credit. Companies that allow buy here pay here give a consumer the opportunity to not only get a product on credit but also to rebuild their credit by making affordable weekly or monthly payments on a product.
The benefits of using these types of companies to help restore your credit far outweigh the bad. These companies can help you rebuild your credit but it usually comes at a high cost charge wise. You will pay higher interest rates or maybe even some other fees. However, companies that report to the credit bureau will help boost your credit score up to 200 points over the course of a twelve month period.
Buy here, pay here and rent to own companies seem like an easy way to recover from bad credit but you must make sure you keep up with payments just like regular creditors. If payments are missed then a person's credit rating will take more of a hit instead of getting a rise. Make sure that all payments are up to date or it will instantly deteriorate credit standing as well as trigger the company to retrieve their product.

The Gold Standard and the Federal Reserve Act

By Bob Q Jones
Fulfilling his campaign promise of a return to the gold standard, McKinley signed the Gold Standard Act into law in 1900. Although the act ended bimetallism in one sense and established gold as the official legal standard, it did not prove to have a deflationary effect. In practice, bimetallism did not end as silver was the circulating medium found in most of the small coinage throughout the country.
Easy-money blocs had advocated expansion of coin and currency as the primary means of increasing money in circulation. But, by 1900, demand deposits had become the fastest growing component of the money supply. Furthermore, gold discoveries in Alaska, South Africa, and Colorado combined with the invention of new mining and refining methods to produce a rapid increase in gold. With ample gold to serve as reserves, the quantity of money expanded at roughly 6 percent a year from 1900 to 1912, effectively quieting the clamor for easier money. Banking once again became the focus of the financial reform movement.
By 1900, the weaknesses of the national banking system were widely recognized, as was the decentralized nature of American banking relative to the central banking systems developing in Europe. But, once again, only a dramatic crisis--the 1907 money market panic--could focus the attention of legislators on bank reform.
An economic boom had ended in early 1907 and was followed by a recession that remained relatively mild for about 6 months. Then, in late October, the failure of the Knickerbocker Trust Company triggered a concerted run on other trust companies and banks. Banks were forced to contract their loans, interest rates soared, and reserves began to run down. The pyramiding of reserves that was permitted under the National Banking Act seriously compounded the difficulty, as country banks withdrew deposits at the first sign of a crisis and impaired the solvency of large city banks.
To alleviate the crisis, the Secretary of the Treasury deposited $36 million in New York banks in a single 2-week period. But before the panic eased at the end of the year, banks and savings institutions were forced to restrict deposit withdrawals. The panic brought into sharp relief the defects of the banking system.
In the wake of the crisis, Congress passed the Aldrich-Vreeland Act to provide emergency relief in the event of another panic. The act also created a National Monetary Commission to study banking and its problems and to help prepare a permanent banking act. Studies by that commission led eventually to a comprehensive bill introduced by Carter Glass, chairman of the House Banking and Currency Committee. This bill, signed shortly after Woodrow Wilson became President in 1913, was the Federal Reserve Act.
